Sanyo launches new Internet Radio R227

Sanyo is back with another radio, a fullĀ 52 years after releasing one of the first transistor radios to the world. This time, they are offering the Internet Radio R227 in Canada that merges both online radio as well as regular FM stations together in one cohesive (and slick looking) unit.

The SANYO Internet Radio R227 has built-in WIFI and plays thousands of stations and podcasts from around the world for free. Perfect for the nearly any room of the house, it sports a network key entry when used on secured wireless networks. It enables search by several categories, with eight Internet station presets. It also has an FM stereo digital tuner, and typical clock radio stuff, like alarms and wake-up radio settings. The R227 features excellent stereo audio with dual speakers.

You will be able to grab one for $219.99 (not too bad). Assuming it does well, it’ll be sold in the US soon enough.
