(Continuing the old and new tech together theme) Convert your cell into a landline with the XLink BT
And in yet another post where old meets new: The XLink BT allows you to do your calling from your usual land-line phone using your mobile network.
Once set up just leave your cell in Bluetooth range and you can answer your cell calls using your landline. I can think of a few (and only a few) situations where this would be handy.
The main advantage is it allows you to cancel your landline and still use the phone itself through your cell network, which offers more free network time. It can be used with up to 3 cellphones at the same time, and you can specify different ring types of each one.
XLink sells for $80 and is available from My XLink. Future versions may include Skype capability, according to the developers.
