This fits neatly into the kind of category we love at Gadget Sleuth; convergence devices that can do two or more things in one compact design. The Tunelight MP3/Desk Organizer System is just such a device, and it’s pretty cool, especially for the price tag.
It allows you to connect an MP3 player to it and it comes with speakers too. It won’t charge your iPod, but at least you’ll be able to listen to your music without having to lug around a PC or laptop. Even the light on the device is a thrifty 20W Halogen bulb, so its pretty thoughtful in implementation as well.
