Earbuds with staying power: The Acoustibuds
I don’t if I just have odd shaped ears, but earbuds never seem to actually stay in my ears for very long, especially when i’m moving around or doing anything active. These new buds, which won an Innovations award at CES 2009, aim to acheive that elusive goal and make the sound better as well.
The Acoustibuds (purchase link) sound amazing both on paper and in specs. These are actually silicone adapters that fit over most earbuds (including those sold with popular mp3 players like the iPod) and will help to keep in those earbuds and includes noise cancellation technology as well.
The key is with the flexible fins (see the photo); they follow the shape of the ear opening and make the headphones stay in even when running or jogging. There’s only 2 sizes of buds, so I suppose there might be a few out there out of luck, but they should fit most.
At only $12.99, these are a no-brainer for anyone who listens to music with earbuds regularly with exercising.
