Exercise and have fun: The ME2
Exercising while playing a game is a great way to get kids (and adults sometimes) to exercise when they need to, an the sales of the Wii is testimony to that fact. But what about a handheld portable alternative to the Wii? That niche may have been filled by the ME2.
There is a built-in pedometer on the device where you earn points by walking, jogging or whatever. The further you go, the more points you get. Your family can compete for the most points, and it can turn into a game of sorts.
Once you have points, connect it via USB to a computer, and your points will be credited to your account, and you can even get new titles to add to the handheld.
Kids may or may not be interested, but introduced properly, it might be a fun way to combine competition and exercise.
The price is right too: with 50% off at eToys, its gone from $34.99 to $17.50.
