Be a rock star (and you’d have to be one to afford these): The Sennheiser Crystal Microphone

We’ve covered the various gadgets here lately that have taken on shiny new skins and editions to satisfy every sort of taste out there right now. These are another case in point: crystal-covered custom microphones.

These new Sennheiser mics come in a single color, two-colors and then a multi-color version.    For the two-color and multi-color you get to choose which colors, then specify which design you want, which is very cool.

You can have a red heart in red crystals if you so choose (hopefully you’re female if you order this), or a skull or anything else you like.  The multi-color design can utilize up to 2,300 shiny Swarovski crystals (that company is doing a booming business of late, if this blog is any indication).

The actual manufacturing process takes 1-4 weeks to put the crystals on the mic and complete the custom designs.  No folks, they’re not cheap: the multi-color runs $999, the two-color mic is $799 and one-color will cost you $699.

For those that choke when they see those price tags, They do offer just skins for $49.95 per design. Go right to Sennheiser’s website if you want to party like a rock star with these mics.
