Takes a licking and keeps on ticking: The Submarine K95 Waterproof USB Drive

We sometimes cover concept gadgets if they do something relatively new or interesting. This is one of those types of ideas.

If you carry around your flash drive, occasionally weird things might happen to them. Accidents, spillages, etc. If this has happened to you, this USB drive might just be the ticket for you. Yes, the submarine shape is somewhat cool, but that isn’t what makes this drive interesting.

According to the developers, it’s waterproof  (more or less), which makes the submarine shape even more fitting.  It’s available in two versions: a 1GB and a 2GB model.  You can even choose from 4 different colors for your super-tough flash drive: white, red, black and green.

It was designed by Russia’s Man Works Design and since its a prototype for now, no purchase info available. I’d imagine some manufacturer will pick this one up soon, as it is a decent idea.
