No Germs Here: The PA600 MCA with Anti-Bacterial Shell
Unitech has a new device for medical personnel – the PA600 MCA (Mobile Clinical Assistant) with Windows Mobile built in, but in a nod to hospitals, it comes with an antimicrobial case and a built-in RFID reader.
The PA600 MCA is pretty tough; you can drop it from 4 feet, and it’ll keep on ticking; always useful in any busy place like a clinic or hospital. It comes with 802.11b/g functionality as well.
Other specs: a 3.5? touchscreen with 320 x 240 res, an 18-key numeric keypad, with 128 RAM built in, 320MB of flash storage and you can hook it up via USB and transfer data as needed.
Sounds like the perfect pocket device for any nurse or doctor, and it won’t spread germs to the patients. No prices were announced, though according to the company its now available for purchase.
