A Little Obvious, But Cool: The Study Ball
We loved the thought behind this gadget as a way to help less than dedicated students stick to their studies as long as they need to. It actually simulates the “ball and chain” of homework and studies in a rather obvious way.
It’s not just a timer that counts down the amount of time you need to study, it actually works as a shackle for your leg until the pre-set time is over.
The ball weighs almost 21 pounds, so it isn’t very easy to move. It can’t be set for over 4 hours (to prevent less creative parents from using it as a supervisory device). It works using 3 AAA batteries and will run you about $115.
