We already know that very little is actually private nowadays, with the advent of Facebook, Twitter and other similar sites. There are devices that report on your energy usage, among other things.
Now BodyTrace Inc, has allowed another secret of yours to go public: your weight, of all things. It’s supposed to motivate you to lose weight, we suppose, but at the same time, who wants their weight to be broadcast online publicly for all to see (who aren’t 110 pounds, that is)?
The BodyTrace scale syncs wirelessly with the Internet, and will beam your weight online for others to look at. It seems like getting an e-mail about someone’s weight (unless it was someone really important to you) would get annoying after awhile.
The BodyTrace scale will be available for purchase in stores in early November for $119. You also can pay $19.99 fee for a three-month weight loss subscription to various services.
