Of Mice and — Pads?: The SteelSeries Gaming Mice Collection

myphoto-21SteelSeries, a large maker of gaming accessories, has introduced two gaming-aimed mice: the SteelSeries Xai Laser Mouse and the SteelSeries Kinzu Optical Mouse. Each has its strong points and should be a nice addition to anyone’s PC controller collection.

They also announced the 9HD, a special hard surface mouse pad designed for higher accuracy while moving mice around. It better do something interesting to pay $35 for a mouse pad.

The Xai Laser Mouse features a 5,000 CPI sensor, 7 programmable buttons and even an LCD on the bottom that gives you lots of details. Meanwhile, the Kinzu is smaller in footprint and offers a 3,200 CPI sensor, the same 7 buttons and the aforementioned LCD.

The Xai, Kinzu and 9HD will be available to grab in mid-August for $80, $35 and $35, respectively (and that’s SRP, so street value may be a little less).
