Modern Alarm System: The Kwikset Smartcode Electronic Locks
Ever wanted a way to check if someone entered your house using the locks in some way when you aren’t around, but don’t need a huge blaring alarm to go off or people calling you, like the commercials? This lock is perfect from Kwikset; it emails you when someone uses your door to enter your house.
These electronic locks work along with Control4 and the Schlage LiNK system to send you an email when someone enters the door (with the correct combination you can set).
With this type of functionality, it’s probably more for kids (or adults) that come in and out at various hours, not for burglars, who probably wouldn’t know the combination.
It can be set up to operate lights, shades and other functions as well. The Schlage locks cost about $200 retail, and about $13 per month for the email notices.
