The Twin Socket Battery Charger is a nice idea in a simple, easy to use package that, unlike many of the things we profile here, has one simple, efficient use: It recharges batteries.

Well actually, it will quickly recharge your AA batteries using a car’s cigarette lighter adapter, which is nice for those always on the run in the car (digital cameras on vacation, etc).

There is even a LED light built into the charger itself to read maps or directions by and the socket pivots with almost a full range of motion so you can always find the best way to plug it in.

This one retails at $12.49, and comes with two rechargeable batteries, so that isn’t a bad deal.
