The Power Of Green: The Kiran Solar Lantern

kiranEco-friendly solar lamps/lights aren’t a new invention necessarily, but one with plenty of power and doesn’t cost a fair bit aren’t that plentiful. That is remedied by the Kiran Solar Lantern, a bright and economical solution to light in the middle of nowhere.

The lantern is (reportedly) up to 5 times brighter than a gas/kerosene light, and works up to 8 hours on a full charge, which can be achieved using solar power or an AC adapter. It gives 360 degreee light, and is built to be pretty sturdy.

In order to get a complete charge the lamp needs 8 hours of sunlight/light and 4 hours plugged in. On High setting it gives 4 hours of light and the 8 hour figure is on Low, it should be noted.

The lamp sells for only $10, another big selling point.
