Internet for your Pocket: The Portable MWR222 ZyXEL Wireless Router
There was a time when wireless internet routers were huge flat, UFO looking things that tended to stay in one place for a long time. Nowadays, everything is portable, and that includes internet routers. Enter the ZyXEL MWR222.
The MWR222 from ZyXEL is a tough, pocket-sized, fully 11n-compatible portable Wi-FI router that users can take with them wherever they go, making it great for road warriors/hotel veterans who need net access on the go, without all the bulky gadgets typically needed for such access.
The device includes 2 Ethernet and 2 USB 2.0 ports with a built-in rechargeable battery that gives you up to 2 hours of operation time.
This pocket rocket also has built-in security features, and more goodies. It’ll be released in Q1 2010 for $299.99 retail price, and here’s a press release all about it.
