Old-School Sound: The iVictrola iPod Amplifier
We sometimes at Gadget Sleuth like to go a little “old-school” with our devices, and this one fits the bill perfectly: The iVictrola iPod Amplifier. It looks like the speaker for one of those antique record players, but its very modern in design. It also requires no batteries or power, which is very cool indeed.
The gadget uses (according to the makers) an entirely acoustic amplification system, using the all-metal “horn” to amplify it even further. The base is hand-carved walnut, using pieces of real antique furniture; a real cool item to display in any house.
The only downside: it’s pretty expensive, running $400 or so. If you have extra money, and have a use for it, it’s awesome indeed.
