I almost thought it was a joke, but its an actual product you can buy: The iPhone Recession Case. And we’re tempted to buy one just to keep it as a party joke of some kind.

It’s created with 100% recycled cardboard, and its simple and fire-retardant and quite druable. No screen coverage, but hey, its a recession after all, what do you expect?

You can buy 1 for only $0.99 (now that’s recession proof!) or 10 at one time for $7.99 total.

This is a very cool looking “old amp” design that doubles as several things for the iPod fan.

The Tailgater is a powerful yet portable speaker system with built-in dock, amplifier and audio inputs all in one It’ll work with the Apple iPhone and Touch as well, so its very versatile (along with many other MP3 players of course).

The built-in battery provides enough power for up to eight hours of rocking out , or you can plug it in as well for unlimited blasting. You can grab it in black and it will retail for $199.99.

iPod chargers/docks is a booming industry, with many companies putting out all kinds of variations on the theme. This one combines an iPod charger with a weather alert system, alarm clock and FM radio, which is what we at GS love, as our readers know: convergence. You gotta love it when devices combine utilities of varying types into a cohesive whole.

This particular model will be announced at CES and won’t be out for a few months, but they’ve released a few tidbits about the gadget that perked our interest. One great feature is that iMM183 can charge both an iPhone and iPod at the same time (a 4th Gen or later iPod required).

The dual dock system is useful if you have a significant other as well; you charge both devices at the same time. The dock has the regular features like a built-in alarm clock and is able to play your i-Gadget through the built-in speaker system.

It should also work with any other devices you have laying around as well. It can even tell you the weather: it includes support for weather text alerts from NOAA and SAME that will automatically display on the preset radio channels, and has an LED to show when there is a new alert to read. Very neat indeed.

No word on price, but it’ll come out around March or so. Cream of the crop for Apple i-device docks in our eyes.

Never know if an urgent texting or e-mail emergency may spring up.

Speck has created this niche with its QwickDraw holster-style case that features the super secure Speck “Qwick Latch” technology that keeps your phone locked in place so it wont fall out no matter what activity you’re involved in at the moment, whether it be horse wrangling or grabbing madly at a falling cup of coffee at a local cafe.

The rotating belt clip allows for a full range of horizontal and vertical positions on a belt/waistband and offers fast access and removal of the phone. The case comes in black and fits both iPhone 3G and the original iPhone and is available now for $29.99 online. Great holiday present for a person constantly on the go who needs quick access to their iPhone.

With little tactile feedback and tiny buttons, writing a document or long e-mail on it is a bit of a chore. But no longer with the BTKeyMini. The BTKeyMini is a Bluetooth keyboard designed for the iPhone (and iPod Touch) that is currently available for pre-order.

With this device, you can wirelessly sync up to your Apple mobile device of choice, and have that great feeing of clicking keys underneath your fingers. It’s a small keyboard adapted for use on the iPhone, with a flap on the keyboard that is presumably there to hold the iPhone in place, and a small size for ease of portability.

The only question that remains is when this product will actually ship. Apparently, it was first announced in January, then available for pre-order in August. It will run you $92, and is still on pre-order here from AVAlive: BTKeyMini

If you have the latest in handheld electronic entertainment with an iPod or the best in mobile communication with an iPhone, you can now easily extend those devices to work through your current car stereo. Whether you have the latest and greatest car stereo system or have an older car stereo that isn’t equipped with any modern external connection ports or wireless capabilities, Belkin can still let you make the most of your digital devices through your car stereo thanks to the the TuneBase. With the Tunebase you can play any entertainment media from your iPod or iPhone by transmitting on any unused FM channel available on your car stereo as well as through a wired connection port or through a tape deck adapter. The beauty of the Belkin Tunebase is that you won’t need to upgrade to a more modern car stereo to get the same seamless ability to access your digital media files through your current car stereo. The brand and model of your car stereo doesn’t make any difference as this FM broadcaster will work with any working FM car stereo with or without a tape deck or other connection ports. Belkin makes it possible to get 21st century functionality out of 20th century technology. It doesn’t matter if your car’s audio system hasn’t kept pace with the advancements in handheld technology because when you buy the Belkin Tunebase for iPod and iPhone you’ll be able to listen to all of your latest media files on a car stereo that was at teh height of technology in the 1980s.

This Apple iPod is Wi-Fi enabled so you’ll be able to surf the net to search for and download videos and music using the Safari web browser. The Apple iPod Touch knows when you rotate the screen from a portrait to a landscape aspect and will automatically adjust the image to suit the screen’s position as well as the brightness depending on the surrounding ambient light, so you’ll always see what’s on the screen clearly and right side up. With 32GB of storage, you’ll have plenty of space to store your favorite music, photogrpahs and video. There’s nothing about this media player that you won’t like, so if you want a great multimedia player, then get the Apple iPod Touch 32GB.
