If you want to watch a movie on it, the Rotating Speaker System will turn the iPhone 90 degrees sideways so you can watch it properly in its aspect ratio. The alarm and other functions can be ocntrolled easily with the onboard buttons or remote control. It has a stereo aux-in port for non-iPod players too. It includes an FM radio too. The clock is large numbers and easy to read, and can do regular or military style readout.

Yes, it’s probably your iPod, so maybe you should know the band name.  However, you can have so much music on your iPod that it’s understandable that you’d forget every so often (the high GB versions can hold thousands of songs).

The iDesign SongView not only features the scrolling text but of course plays your music too.  It also is an alarm clock to make sure that you get out of bed every morning.  While you’re across the room, you’ll also be able to control your music, to skip those songs you’re just not in the mood for.  It will also allow you to hook it up to additional speakers and different types of audio players.

A lot of the companies selling accessories have started to attempt to think outside of the traditional “box”, and some odd ones have shown up too. However, this one actually makes sense to me. Many people use a nightlight in a hallway or room to brighten up the area during late night restroom trips, so why not combine that utility with a charger for your most prized gadget, the iPhone/iPod?

Useful multi-function devices are good, and so this one hits the sweet spot. You can pick up the night light/charger gadget for $39.99 at their website. Not cheap, but for something that tries to go outside the box and hits the target, it’s worth the price tag.

Not the most practical device around, but one of the slickest in terms of design. It looks like something out of a Star Wars movie. With the sleek tower design it could easily get slipped into any style of room.  Tuck it into a corner and it takes up almost no space.

Jean-Michel Jarre’s AeroSystem has a 450w subwoofer and 200w speakers, so it can boom pretty good. It also has a USB port and a 3.5mm jack, so you’ll be able to hook up any MP3 or audio player you’d like.

These are only available in France, so we can either figure out how to get one, or get them to ship it here somehow.  It is being sold for EUR 450 (or $580 USD), and it includes a remote control as well. Hey, it could be a hit and come out here, you never can tell.
