It supports 2nd and 3rd generation Nanos directly with a wireless connection, but other MP3 devices will use a connecting cord that is included, thankfully. The “lightweight” headphones might be too big and bulky for some types, but they’re pretty full fidelity for those who value that sort of thing.

If $17.99 doesn’t sound too much for these (and if you own a Nano this is almost a no-brainer for this price), head over to the Skymall and grab yours.

This is the slender, lightweight dual-speaker system that rests around your neck and allows you to listen to music while you remain aware of your surroundings. It plugs into any portable audio device with a standard 3.5mm plug (compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch) with its 36? cord. Its dual 1? speakers offer a frequency range of 20Hz-20,000Hz for high-quality sound and are positioned to project sound up to your ears. With built-in volume control. The system only weighs 7 1/2 oz. and has two flexible sections on either side of the frame that enable you to adjust them for optimal comfort.

The iHat is just such a gadget; it’s a warm hat and an MP3 speaker at the same time, and these days (its pretty cold in most parts of the globe right now) that’s a good thing.

The iHat is a great little gadget for any music lover, needless to say. It includes an integrated speaker and you can connect any iPod or compatible MP3 player (which is 98% of them) assuming it has an 3.5mm audio jack.

The iHat sells for $25 each, not bad for a (warm) slice of geek heaven.

It will change the way you view gadgets like this.

The design is similar to other MoGo products (mice especially), as it can fold flat into and it’ll fit nicely into a ExpressCard slot on any notebook, getting charged whenever to make sure that your conversations never get cut short by a dead battery; something road warriors will appreciate big time.

The MoGo Talk is able to remain on standby power for over a week, and it also comes with a flexible thin rubber ear piece that will mold to the shape of your ear, which helps eliminate outside noise too.

If you’re chomping at the bit to get this, it’ll be out later this August for $99 each.

These are (sadly) only made by a Japanese company, so only available through their vendors for now. Sometimes companies import products over here from there, but many of the better ones don’t make it here, for some reason. In Japan, these sell for around $21 a pair USD, which isn’t a terrible price here.

Well, for the most part this hasn’t happened, but this new gadget is looking to change that fact.

The Digital Opera S2 and iPod compatible Digital Opera S5 wireless earbuds, released by DigiFi and Kleer. Music lovers may sit up and take notice; who hasn’t gotten tangled in a bunch of wires while trying to walk with your favorite portable music player?

Both models come with volume and full track control buttons right on the earbuds themselves. Both models can handle CD quality audio stereo audio up to a range of 32 feet or so (a Bluetooth limitation, but this device). Each works up to 10 hours, and can stream to 4 people at once for a community music experience.

The main difference: the Opera S2 includes a 3.5mm-compatible transmitter which works great with MP3 players, larger stereos, etc among other devices. As for folks who mainly use an iPod or related device, the Opera S5 includes a next-track, volume, etc buttons right on the gadget itself, so its more suited to this type of device.

No announcement on pricing, but both should be released for sale in late June this year.

Bluetooth headsets have two camps, it seems: People who walk around with them all the time and can’t live without them, and others who think its a silly looking ear thing who makes someone look like a robot who lives on the phone all the time. Either way, a single look at the Aliph Jawbone Prime Bluetooth headset and you’ll see the range of colors and that its a serious device.

The Jawbone brand is considered one of the top Bluetooth headsets out there today, being one of the first “bone conduction” Bluetooth gadgets out there. The Jawbone Prime goes even further with NoiseAssassin technology that filters out background noise along with voice technology that keeps it from touching a users face, yet makes voices loud and clear.

Hosain Rahman, Aliph’s CEO and co-founder states:

“We watched our customers closely and saw how they struggled to be heard in extreme noise environments. So, we focused our engineering team to go deeper on the tough problems like crying babies, pounding jackhammers, beeping elevators and the like. As a result, we are excited to announce Jawbone PRIME, with orders of magnitude better noise suppression, so our customers can continue their conversations wherever they happen to be.”

Women usually like their tech gadgets to be stylish and slick as well as a working device. It’s just the nature of females in general. It looks like JBL and Roxy agree and are joining together to create a new line of headphones just for women.

And they don’t just throw some pink or green on typical headphones and leave it alone, like many specialty products like this do. They’re streamlined and designed for slightly smaller frames, and the design is very “girly” and something any girl can be proud to show off.

Release date is planned for sometime in mid-May or so. The line will include earbuds for even more streamlined music listening pleasure. Our only hope is the prices aren’t too ridiculous to go along with all this cool style.
