This gadget can make it a little more fun: The Wireless Waterproof Shower Speaker from Smartak Audio can introduce tuneage to your daily cleanup.

Using fancy sounding “900MHZ Phase Loop Lock” circuitry, the device can send an audio signal up to 150-feet to the unit (even through walls, according to the makers).

It is also compatible with any iPod, iPhone or your choice of MP3 unit (if it uses a 3.5mm output jack of course). The Wireless Waterproof Shower Speaker sells for $59.99 each, which is a pretty good deal for rockin’ with the Rolling Stones while showering.

Many people use radios at poolside or in the shower and such, and this is a very useful gadget for just such an occasion: The Lexon Tykho water-resistant radio.

The item comes in a rubber casing with a simple and easy-to-use buttons located right on the front for quick access, and all you do is move the antenna to change the station, so even if you’re occupied you can find the right music or talk content for you.

It does need 4 AA batteries (which thankfully are included in the intial package) to work, but then so do most radios, so this isn’t a gamebreaker. It’ll run you £44 ($71) to bring this puppy home.

Well, the makers of this clock understand that: enter the Sphere Alarm Clock.

It even changes colors in a very stimulating fashion to help you wake up, and its styled in a very slick manner.

The manufacturer’s website gives you a sample of the sounds it can play. You can choose between 6 varying sounds, things like the wind, sea and even animals. They sound a bit on the “electronic” side, but they’re adequate for what they’re used for.

It also cycles between 7 different colors as it plays the sounds. To keep the clock powered it uses 3 AAA batteries and best of all, it’s fairly inexpensive at only $16.

It’s (almost) waterproof and rugged, and set to take with you to any occasion.

More from the creators:

With the Wind Up Radio you embark on your next big outdoor adventure free from bothersome batteries and the restrictions of the mains. An internal battery is powered through your winding and a simple 1-minute’s cranking is enough to deliver an impressive 1 hour of power. This sturdy wind up radio is ideally suited for the outdoors, being light but rugged, portable and splash proof. Plus this outdoor radio comes with an LED torch to help you navigate the campsite after dark and an emergency siren in case you get into any scrapes while you’re out and about. The aerial on this wind up radio is good quality and there’s even a headphone jack if you want to tune into your outdoor radio privately without disturbing fellow campers. Great idea, well crafted and solid – get yours today!

It won’t break the bank either; it will sell for £19.95. 60 seconds can deliver an hour of power without batteries? Sounds pretty cool and planet-friendly to us.

Usually they aren’t cheap either though, and this is no exception. The Crosley Attic Speaker is a cross between a working radio and a speaker for your iPod/MP3 player.

It isn’t a dock though, so it won’t charge your iPod. It boasts pretty strong sound thanks to the technology of “AroundSound”, their own proprietary sound invention. It claims to eliminate “hot spots” in sound reproduction, which gives it a sharp, clear sound with nice acoustics.

You can grab the Crosley Attic Radio Speaker for $98 from Urban Outfitters.

More about this wondrous gadget here from the website:

ClearScan Live allows the iPhone to display the FM frequency and the controls on its screen. This hardware-software combination is the first to utilize an iPhone application to control FM transmission and utilize GPS coordinates to determine the clearest FM frequency at the user’s location. TuneCast Auto Live capitalizes on the ability of iPhone OS 3.0 to enable application control of hardware accessories, with ClearScan Live as the first application to interact with an iPhone FM transmitter accessory. Together, the Belkin hardware and software provide a powerful tool for people to easily control and listen to their music in their cars.

This device will debut in the US and around the world (including Europe and Asia) mid-Fall or so, and will sell for around $79.99 each.

Well, now there’s the BeoSound 3 portable radio, clock and digital audio player. Not an unusual combo, but its the sound that will set this apart.

The BeoSound 3 loudspeaker might be small in stature, but it does offer some strong, room-rumbling performance. A rechargeable battery is included for the BeoSound to add to its portability, so you won’t need to keep it tied down to a power outlet constantly.

Other features include a wake timer, SD/MMC-card playback, and a sleep timer. No pricing was available to us, but it probably will cost a pretty penny, more than likely.

This time, they are offering the Internet Radio R227 in Canada that merges both online radio as well as regular FM stations together in one cohesive (and slick looking) unit.

The SANYO Internet Radio R227 has built-in WIFI and plays thousands of stations and podcasts from around the world for free. Perfect for the nearly any room of the house, it sports a network key entry when used on secured wireless networks. It enables search by several categories, with eight Internet station presets. It also has an FM stereo digital tuner, and typical clock radio stuff, like alarms and wake-up radio settings. The R227 features excellent stereo audio with dual speakers.

You will be able to grab one for $219.99 (not too bad). Assuming it does well, it’ll be sold in the US soon enough.
