Brando seems to specialize in this under-served market of late, and here’s an intesting entry: The “Car Key” Hidden Spy Camera.

This isn’t the very first model they’ve released of this type, but it is a nice redesign, with rounded edges and much sharper video resolutions. The res is 1600 x 1200 and the color video can be shot at 640 x 480. It has 29 FPS and has built-in audio as well, so you can capture pretty much anything that’s needed. The exact need for a gadget like this isn’t super clear, but hey, sometimes gadgets are what they are.

It also has a rechargeable battery and a Micro SD card slot to store the video on. You can grab one of these for $36 or acquire one with a 8GB card included for your storage pleasure for $63 straight from Brando.

Coolest Gadgets is reporting a new very neat gadget: The Tiny Spy Camcorder. It appears like a normal cheap alarm clock, but it actually has a tiny camera inside that can record video. Pretty neat if you’re the paranoid type.

More here:

There are all types of spy gadgets out there, the trick is finding the one that blends in the most with your style. After all, if you have top of the line electronics everywhere, a cheap alarm clock is going to stand out. If you have very sparse college room type furniture then a tissue box holder with a camera in it is probably going to raise some eyebrows. Well this tiny clock is just one of the many ways you can spy on people while you’re away.

Some might find it a touch paranoid that you have video surveillance going on, but if it helps you sleep at night, then it’s worth the cash. This tiny camcorder is built into the clock and has a built-in rechargeable Li-Battery. That battery will work for up to 2 hours of continuous use. It has 4GB of built-in memory and then is able to use a USB flash drive. It hooks up to your computer to swap out data and charge through a USB cable. It has a switch on and off button that will kick on a light that only briefly twinkles to let you know it’s working.

This bit of spy heaven will run you $47 from Gadget Brando.

We don’t normally cover phones, but then again, this new Sony Ericsson Satio is more gadget than phone anyway. With a 12MP camera and high-res TFT screen, this is shaping up to be a pretty sweet phone indeed.

More from dialaphone.co.uk, a blog covering cell phones:

At 13mm thick and 126 grams, the Satio maintains a similar size and weight to its rivals, but when you turn the phone on its side, the sliding lens cover bulges out, ruining the smooth and slender frame.

The Satio is one of a pair of new multimedia mobile phones to be released by Sony Ericsson this year, the other being the Aino, and instead of being created to excel as either a camera or a music phone, the Satio does both by havong an excellent camera and a powerful music player. Sliding that lens coveraside reveals the 12.1 megapixel lens, flanked by a video light and a xenon flash, for excellent lowlight performance. Face and smile detection are both onboard, along with Touch Focus, a new feature where a simple tap of the screen sees the camera focus on that spot and capture the picture, so you dont have to centre the viewfinder on your preffered subject. Additionally, tweaks such as image stabilisation, BestPic and a 12x digital zoom are all included.

The touchscreen is a 16 million colour, 3.5? TFT with a resolution of 360×640. An accelerometer controls its orientation and since it’s a resistive item, Sony Ericsson have included a stylus, but instead of building it into the casting it’s supplied seperately on a lanyard. To combat any keyboard issues, the Satio gives the choice of using a small portrait QWERTY keyboard, a larger landscape one or the traditional alphanumeric pad. For dialing, the phone has an easily accessed number pad. Sony Ericsson have overlaid 5th Edition with their familiar icon based, grid format menu – brought to life with the central of the three hardware keys under the screen – where all the features of the phone can be accessed.

As a 3G phone with HSDPA and HSUPA support, the Satio is already well-connected, but when you add in Wi-Fi, A2DP, Bluetooth and assisted GPS, it covers every base.

If ever you’ve wanted a phone to truly double as a camera as well, this might be one for you. No price or immediate availability listed yet, but it should be out by the end of the year.

In reality, it can help remind people in the house of chores, duties or tasks, which is how it should be marketed, but we aren’t in charge of their marketing campaign, we suppose.

This gadget comes with a 1.5 inch LED screen and a built-in video camera, which records up to 30 seconds of video at a time. It’s simple to use; just push one button to record and then a different one to actually play it back.

It charges via USB, so no batteries to replace (a nice feature we love). It runs about £29.99 or about $49 USD from I Want One Of Those.

Well, there is one right here.

Oddly named The Shirtpocket Underwater Camcorder, it includes a 2 1/2? LCD screen and SD expansion slot built-in. We can think of a few uses for this one; family swimming parties, etc. The 8MP camcorder can record 60 minutes of regular-def MPEG4 and can even take up to 300 digital photos with the included 2GB memory card, so its nicely multi-functional, something we always appreciate at GS.

The expansion card slot can handle up to 8GB more memory, so plenty of expansion room. It includes MP3 playing features and 4X digital zoom as well.

Battery is rechargeable and can work up to two hours at a time, and it will run you $200.

Well, maybe the Spycam Video Sunglasses from ThinkGeek will fit the bill for you.

Here’s more about this from their website:

The Spycam Video Sunglasses are not intended to be part of any disguise – they are the disguise – concealing a tiny video camera in the center of the glasses. Capable of capturing excellent quality video and audio, these Spycam Video Sunglasses can be comfortably worn nearly anywhere to help you get the footage. Video is stored in AVI format on a Micro SD card. These glasses also feature easy-to-use controls which are located on the glasses frame.

Phones are phones these days, and not many companies are trying to make something really unique and cool. But hey, give this Chinese company credit: they really are trying something different. Witness: the Watch Phone with built-in camera.

Would I rush out and purchase one? Maybe, maybe not, but if you have a friend or loved one with a hankering for fancy James-Bondian gadgets, this may be just the thing to grab.

This phone has a built in 1.3MP camera, and it even tells you the time as well. It also has an FM radio, Bluetooth, an MP3 player and a 1.3″ touchscreen as well, so it’s pretty full featured for a “simple” watch.

You can own it for $137.70 from i-Pmart (it ships from China, so beware higher shipping fees that you may incur).
