Such is the case with the dubbed “Anorexic Mouse”, a cool, slick-shaped mouse debuting in a Japanese shop today.

Archisite has announced this mouse from Suvil, and its official code name is the I-T Click Click 2, and the big difference is that you use a finger and a thumb to operate it. It’s small and slim, with the stats being 35mm x 112mm x 23mm and light too, and includes an 800dpi optic sensor.

This mouse will run you 1,980 Yen or around $21 USD. We’ll see if the design catches on; it’s supposed to be easier on the hands than traditional mice.

It features a dark, slick design incorporated into it, and will spark a few comments, needless to say.

The gaming mouse has adjustable sensitivity ranges, rapid fire mode, various DPI adjustments, and a macro/script editor as well to adapt to various needs and games. You can even store up to five different profiles and switch between the profiles on the fly instantly.

The Sentinel Advance is now available in UK stores and websites for £49.99 ($83 USD). Not cheap for a mouse, but this is more than just your average garden variety mouse.

Perhaps this one may have taken it too far, though: The Razer Naga Mouse comes with 12 extra buttons you can assign functions to. That’s a lot to remember, but perhaps there will be some Geek lord out there who will revel in all the extra buttons.

All of the buttons are on the same side as your thumb, so at least your thumb will get a lot of exercise with this one.

This one isn’t cheap, however (geek gear often isn’t); the Naga mouse retails for $80, which is a mere pittance for someone with a need for this.

(Yes, I know more than just women raised their hand, or should have anyway.) Being a huge chocoholic myself, we just love this cool new “chocolate design” mouse from LazyBoneUK.

This is a wireless mouse decent stats that works well as a mouse for that special person in your life that just can’t get enough chocolate in their decor. We love the fashion statement, and the idea. The design itself is squarely a female one, we think, but at least a few men will own one too.

Priced at £21.99 ($36 USD), needs 2 AA batteries to work (which are not included).

Each has its strong points and should be a nice addition to anyone’s PC controller collection.

They also announced the 9HD, a special hard surface mouse pad designed for higher accuracy while moving mice around. It better do something interesting to pay $35 for a mouse pad.

The Xai Laser Mouse features a 5,000 CPI sensor, 7 programmable buttons and even an LCD on the bottom that gives you lots of details. Meanwhile, the Kinzu is smaller in footprint and offers a 3,200 CPI sensor, the same 7 buttons and the aforementioned LCD.

The Xai, Kinzu and 9HD will be available to grab in mid-August for $80, $35 and $35, respectively (and that’s SRP, so street value may be a little less).

It’s colorful and slick, and would be the perfect gift for that portion of users. It skirts all the typical blacks and greys of a traditional mouse.

It’s a fairly basic optical mouse, as far as specs go (many of the “specialty design” mouses aren’t optical, since more of the work goes into the design rather than the actual mechanics of the device itself).

It connects to a USB port and will of course work with either a PC or a Mac system. It’s a nice splash of color to add to a desktop or workplace.

Lazy Bone UK is selling it and at not too bad of a price: you can grab one for $28.95.

Well, something tells us a Transformers movie is being released soon, because now the flood of these type of gadgets has begun – now with a transforming laser mouse.

The Trypticon Laser Mouse (to be exact) has been released by the same company, and it looks every bit as cool as the flash drive was.

This transforming mouse comes with the usual array of three buttons and 800 dpi resolution, which are pretty solid stats. But if a mouse is all you wanted, then preordering this for $59.99 isn’t what you would do, more than likely. It supports Mac and PC, and is scheduled to ship in September or so.
