Exemode comes back to the photo frame market by releasing the Yashica DVF828. It is actually a digital photo frame that comes with a built-in scanner. The gadget comes jam packed with an 8-inch (800×600) display screen with a 1GB of internal memory, a memory card slot for storage expansion, and a USB port. The scanner can accepts up to 10cm x 15cm pictures at a 1200 × 1800 pixels resolution. Exemode will launch the Yashica DVF828 on October 24th, 2009 for 24,800 Yen ($277). [ITMedia]

$277 ain’t cheap, but hey, who knew that photo frames could have so much utility these days?

iMo has launched an 8-inch (800 x 600) digital photo frame and printer combo gadget, which is known as the iMo Foto Frame Printer. The gadget has a USB input, a slideshow function, an onscreen manual, a remote control, and accepts CF/SD/MS/MMC and xD memory cards. The printer is able to print 6 x 4 glossy picture at 300dpi. The ink cartridge is also replaceable. The iMo Foto Frame Printer retails for $229.99, while the replacement cartridges is priced at $14.99. [Product Page]

We like multi-purpose gadgets, and this one sounds pretty solid.

Printing in the palm of your hand: Dell Wasabi PZ310

Most of us have had photos stores on mobile devices, and want a way to share them with friends and family. That’s where this new tiny printer will come in handy, the new Dell Wasabi PZ310, a tiny printer that measures only 4.8″ x 2.8″.

The Wasabi PZ310 is an super small printer that is also Dell’s first ZINK-enabled product (doesn’t require ink), and it prints out 2×3 photos. The user simply sends the photo to the printer via Bluetooth, and in less than a minute, a scrapbook quality photo prints out.

It doesn’t use “ink” in the conventional sense; it uses special “Zero Ink” paper that conducts with the printer itself to create quality images, which is a real change in thought process, we know. It also eliminates the need for ink refills.

It’s available for only $99 with several color choices. The price is only for a limited time, supposedly.

Go Green with the Morphy Ecoelectric Toaster

Going green is definitely on people’s mind nowadays, even for common household appliances. In that vein, the Morphy Richards Ecolectric Toaster was born. Not only does this toaster use up about 35% less energy, it is able to make toast faster, courtesy of its auto-close lid which keeps in all the heat when cooking.

Variable slot sizes from skinny to fat slices can be adjusted, and a coil design that evenly browns every time you toast. Save the planet and perfect toast too? How can you lose?

£34.95 (about $70 USD) is what Gizoo is currently asking for the Ecolectric Toaster. Toast without the guilt.

An inkless printer from Dell?

An otherwise nondescript filing for a Bluetooth printer on the FCC’s site reveals that it’s really not nondescript at all when you look through the product shots—the system is a Zink-technology-based inkless printer branded with a Dell logo.

You can see how it works from the picture provided…the possibilities are interesting, though there are concerns that paper could be expensive and that it doesn’t print a full-size page, and that previous attempts at similar ideas have failed badly.

No pricing or other details were released, though there should be some forthcoming quite soon.
