You stay seated for many hours at a time, and move around very little. Now there’s a cool new gadget to get your blood pumping even from sitting around: the Circulation Improving Seated Stepper. We like this one a lot, read here for more details:

This is the low-impact stepper that keeps blood flowing to minimize swelling while seated. Lightweight and portable, the device can slide easily beneath your desk at home or at the office. The two footpads provide resistance using strong elastic bands; each step tones your legs and hips, burning calories and improving circulation. Two additional elastic bands with foam handholds extend from either side of the unit, providing a workout for the arms. You can increase the resistance by adding the included additional set of bands. A built-in timer located between the two footpads tracks your workouts.

Made of strong steel for durability and folds easily for quick storage, the Circulation Improving Seated Stepper will set you back a reasonable $49.95. Great for desk hounds that need to sit at a computer for a living many hours a day.

You know the picture: Just finished in the restroom, hands might be not very clean, to put it mildly, and you have to use them to pump out hand soap to wash them with. Kinda nasty….well, now that problem is solved with the Sensor Soap Pump.

This is a completely hands-free soap pump that comes with a built-in infra-red sensor to detect your hand when its stuck below the dispensor and can automatically deliver one of four different volumes of soap you can set.

Slight downside: it requires 4 AA batteries (not included, mind you) to work, but battery life is good: up to a year, and it can hold up to 14 fl.oz of soap at a time. It’ll run you $39.99 to bring the Sensor Soap Pump to your restroom (or kitchen).

It includes two different temp settings, and is powered by a rechargeable battery, so no cords or anything to plug in, which we can appreciate. The maker claims it has all memory foam instead to contour itself to your body, and that will relieve any pressure point issues you may suffer from. And the covering is all leather too, so its super comfy and classy looking.

Did we mention it ain’t cheap? The $799.95 price tag may scare off many, but for those who want this, head on over to Hammacher and Schlemmer.

Our friends at Hammacher have stepped in with the UV Wand, a device that can sanitize surfaces, thus destroying the H1N1 virus.

This “miracle wand” can also kill MRSA, mold, and dust mites too, and it can be used without all the sprays and other stuff that is more difficult to use on keyboards and more sensitive areas. Works for 90 minutes via full AC charge.

Well, Hammacher Schlemmer has released their ‘Best Heated Gloves’ that claim to be some of the best heated gloves anywhere.

Each pair can warm your hands to 148.9 degrees F (roughly 50 degrees warmer than other other gloves out there), and includes a very soft interior and virtually undetectable wires inside as well. More here from the makers:

Other features include: Thinsulate insulation that retains heat better, and an all leather palm for a stronger grip. Works up to 10 hours on a single charge, so they’ll be around when you need them.

Bear in mind, these are not at all cheap; they’ll run you $199.95 for a pair, but your hands will definitely thank you, depending on what part of the globe you inhabit.

This gadget is just for those sort of people, and it measures your progress and changes over time pretty well: The Philips DirectLife.

It will consider key factors, such as your age, gender, height and weight, ya know, what makes you, you. It then measures how much calories you burn based on your activities during the day. It’s even waterproof, so you can wear it while swimming (something that burns a lot of calories, incidentally).

The device is very accurate (according to the company) in measuring your daily calorie burning and can be placed on your belt or worn as a necklace, or just put into a pocket.

The Philips DirectLife can be obtained for $79 up until Oct 30th, and that comes with a 4 month membership to their tracking program. After the trial period, the monthly cost will move to $12.50, which isn’t terrible, but could be lower if they really wanted big-time membership.

The Itch Stopper works by generating electronic energy which destroys toxins under the skin and help stop histamine release, similar to what cremes and other such topical remedies do. In theory, it could work, but in real life…we’re not totally sure.

The Itch Stopper is FDA approved for use nearly anywhere, and on kids of nearly any age, which is relief for many parents who don’t want to smother their child in cremes to stop a pesty itch from a bug bite or other cause.

Buy The Itch Stopper right here for $59.95.

It works with a sensitive micro-sound detector that will detect when you’re snoring, and send a mild electrical impulse to help regulate the person’s snoring. It can even differentiate between snoring and other kinds of sounds (a nice thought to engineer into it, for sure).

You can try out the gadget for only $36 from Amazon.

This one has little gadgetry inside that tells you a lot more than just the wear and tear on the bottom from using it: Meet the Pedomostick.

First of all, it can be used as a pedometer, counting all the steps you take everyday. And if that weren’t enough, it has even more wizardry built in.

It has indicators for calories burned, distance traveled and the time you have spent walking so far during a session, and displays all of this on a LCD screen on the shaft of the stick. It even has a LED flashlight mounted to the shaft so you can see where you’re going at night (we love us some convergence gadgets, so this last addition tickled us).

You can grab this most unique walking stick for $99.95 from Hammacher and Schlemmer.
