You know the picture: Just finished in the restroom, hands might be not very clean, to put it mildly, and you have to use them to pump out hand soap to wash them with. Kinda nasty….well, now that problem is solved with the Sensor Soap Pump.

This is a completely hands-free soap pump that comes with a built-in infra-red sensor to detect your hand when its stuck below the dispensor and can automatically deliver one of four different volumes of soap you can set.

Slight downside: it requires 4 AA batteries (not included, mind you) to work, but battery life is good: up to a year, and it can hold up to 14 fl.oz of soap at a time. It’ll run you $39.99 to bring the Sensor Soap Pump to your restroom (or kitchen).

It comes with a built-in battery that will lasts for up to 35 minutes on one charge, very useful also for those harried mornings when you need to shave but need to get to the office in a hurry. You know who you are.

Dirty Bath Water Begone: The Bath Ball

Baths are sometimes great for relaxation and soothing away the cares of the day. The issue with baths is sometimes the water gets pretty nasty even if you’re just in it for a little bit. Thus, this new little ball was invented that’s supposed to solve this issue.

It’s probably ideal for water that may be used more than once, if you have a large familyand don’t want to refill the tub for every person. It supposedly absorbs oil, dirt and residue from the water, leaving it clean and fresh. It’s reusable according to the inventors and filled with charcoal and polypropylene.

It’s best to wash it after using it a few times, either in the washer or by hand. It does not specify how many times it can be reused, so the price may seem a little high at $45. It can be grabbed at the Japan Trend Shop.

The toothbrush is a staple of any hygiene regimen, and really can’t be improved that much. Oral-B has spent a lot of marketing dollars convincing people that toothbrushes are truly the most advanced ever, and it’s looking like they may be right.

This one comes with a display that is wirelessly synced to the toothbrush. This is what the Smart Guide display is designed to do, and the user holds it in their hand while they brush.

The Smart Guide clocks how long you’ve been brushing (so you can fit within the recommended two minutes or so). You can adjust various settings for certain types of care, polishing, etc.

Ideas tend to come and go with no rhyme or reason sometimes. And sometimes they come at the most inopportune moments, such as in the middle of a shower. Maybe need to jot down something you may remember to grab from the store or a chore you almost forgot? Several wind-up flashlights have been sold before, and usually they’re a big pain in the butt to charge, working more as arm muscle builders than shavers. But, you don’t have to buy batteries or worry about them dying in the middle of a shave out in the middle of nowhere, like a camping trip. Now there’s a shaver you can use just by winding it up, and it isn’t TOO much of a pain to use.

According to the developers, one minute of winding equals out to 1.2 minutes of shaving power, so you may need to have a real thing for the “green” and shave pretty darn quickly.
