You know the picture: Just finished in the restroom, hands might be not very clean, to put it mildly, and you have to use them to pump out hand soap to wash them with. Kinda nasty….well, now that problem is solved with the Sensor Soap Pump.

This is a completely hands-free soap pump that comes with a built-in infra-red sensor to detect your hand when its stuck below the dispensor and can automatically deliver one of four different volumes of soap you can set.

Slight downside: it requires 4 AA batteries (not included, mind you) to work, but battery life is good: up to a year, and it can hold up to 14 fl.oz of soap at a time. It’ll run you $39.99 to bring the Sensor Soap Pump to your restroom (or kitchen).

In reality, it can help remind people in the house of chores, duties or tasks, which is how it should be marketed, but we aren’t in charge of their marketing campaign, we suppose.

This gadget comes with a 1.5 inch LED screen and a built-in video camera, which records up to 30 seconds of video at a time. It’s simple to use; just push one button to record and then a different one to actually play it back.

It charges via USB, so no batteries to replace (a nice feature we love). It runs about £29.99 or about $49 USD from I Want One Of Those.

The Breakfast Center includes in its compact design: a 4-cup coffee maker with filter, an 8 x 10 ½” griddle and a 4-slice toaster oven as well; pretty much everything you need for a quick bite or drink.

It has a 30 minute timer with auto shut off, to prevent “accidents” caused by long study hours. The glass carafe is included and is dishwasher safe for convenience.

The unit measures 16 x 14 x 13” H and uses 1300W, so it is a bit of a hog, but with all this included, you’d kind of expect that. Its original price was $79.99, but JCPenney has moved it down to $39.99 right now, making it a bargain for anyone with a need for it.

This unique and very cool gadget is compliments of designers Ryan Eder & Chris Daniels, who work for Yanko Design and manufactured by Taylor Kitchenware, it does unit conversions automatically, can be pre-set for exact recipe requirements and more. It takes cooking very much hi-tech.

It’ll be available in late fall, no word on cost though. For those of us challenged in the kitchen, this one may have to be a gadget we keep an eye out for.

It has a five step filtration process to make sure the water you put in it is as pure as possible. They even donate 5% of their profits to water purification programs in developing countries as a very nice business statement that we can definitely get behind.

The first step of the process: ozonation, then ultraviolet light that cleans it, then photo-oxidation combines the UV and ozone process and further treats the water. Then two more fancy filters make sure it removed all the lead and other fun stuff that tends to show up in water that isn’t what you want to drink.

It’s small and easy to move around: it can go on your counter or under the sink. The Zuvo Water Purator can be bought for $199.99 from SmartHome, and while that ain’t cheap, it’ll give you one of the cleanest glasses of drinking water you’ll find anywhere, it seems like.

Just hang this clock so you can reach it, as you need to be able to do so to set the timer on the bottom of the clock. We especially like the retro look of this timekeeper.

It’s not huge either, but big enough to read easily; the dimensions of this clock are 8.5 x 12 x 2.5”. You have 6 color choices with this one: black, chartreuse (yes, that’s what it says), red, silver, turquoise and white.

You can find these slick multi-function clocks for $29 from Pure Modern, which ain’t super cheap, but style ain’t ever cheap, as they say.

Well, that’s just what the Vortex is: a device that makes mixing up drinks of all kinds a little more fun with its bright colors and “whirlpool” action in the middle of the gadget. And cleaning them is a breeze too.

Both the Vortex 1 and 2 clean out just with hot water, and add a drop of soap if you’re a clean freak. Then just push the button; simple as can be.

The Vortex can mix up nearly any drink in a minute or so, so it’s quick and simple. The Vortex 2 is designed for cocktails and things like that, and the Vortex 1 for regular drinks, like chocolate milk, etc.

The Vortex 1 general purpose mixer will run you a paltry $19.99 and the Vortex 2 cocktail mixer for £10 or about $14 USD.
