More about it here:

The small oval shape contains a high carbon steel pen knife blade that is razor sharp and useful for many cutting tasks. It also has small precision scissors. It’s not designed for big jobs, but it comes in handy for cutting and trimming. Just push the button forward and it’s a bright little LED flashlight, really useful in dark entryways. There’s also a very productive bottle opener for your favorite sodas and microbrews, because we have found most of the best beverages require a bottle opener to enjoy.

You can grab this up for $21.99 – a nice alternative to the overly expensive Swiss Army knife.

They typically adjust by turning a little wheel and moving the wrench part, but its hard to get it exactly where you want it. This new fangled Hydrokinetic Wrench adjusts in a much easier way. The wrench has a little chamber of water that allows adjustments to be made easily and precisely.

All you do is open the valve, grab a nut and then adjust the gripper on the opposite end. That xompresses the liquid inside and adjusts the wrench to the desired width.

Once its where you want it, just close the valve and that’s all there is to it. It’s a bit of an argument whether this is much easier than a regular adjustable wrench, but this is just so much cooler. For the tool fanatic with everything.

Head over to Think Geek to grab this for $24.99.

It’s just a simple fact. Bob Vila most of us aren’t, and its nice to know some people are inventing things for those of us who aren’t. Some of us who are not precise measurers still need to hang stuff sometimes, and that’s what this gadget is for.

It will mark a line for you, so no need to fumble around for a pen or pencil. It’s 25 feet long and supposedly quite durable. It even has an optic white coating to “glow” a little when you’re in dark corner or in a less than ideally lighted space. It’s a great tool for those who hang stuff a lot.

And since its from Amazon, you can get a good price on it too. You can grab this via this link for $9.99 from vendors (or $13.99 from Amazon) as opposed to the suggested retail price of $26.

The older we get, the less coordinated we’re going to be. Well if you’re either just clumsy or getting up there in years, but still want a way to be independent with your DIY projects, this is the way to go. Magnetic screwdrivers are always incredibly helpful, well this SmartDriver takes things one step further.

It has an extended arm that can retract and will hold your screw steady while you work on securing the screw into the wall. To make things even more simple it has a 6-position clutch to prevent stripping any of your screws. It also has an LED work light and a Lithium-Ion battery.

Now the most bizarre thing about this product is the way Amazon lists the price. You can purchase this directly from Amazon for $3,997 or from Target through Amazon for $39.99. I tried to find this sold on a different site to figure out the price, but it seems Amazon is the only place with it. Basically, I have no idea why it’s priced this way, but that’s the way Amazon has it listed. Really weird.

It’s something that really gets us jazzed, and this one is a great example of this principle at work.

This may appear to be just a tape measure, but this one is a 4-in-1 device. It also solves several issues when you’re trying to measure something. It includes a spot for the pen and paper, so you won’t ever forget a measurement again. Which would make your DIY projects more time efficient since you won’t have to redo everything due to forgetting how long or wide something was.

It also has a built-in calculator, so you can add up numbers and not have to worry that your math might be faulty or just a few numbers off. No more guesswork.

It also features an LED flashlight for when you could use a little extra light. The tape measure comes with batteries and includes a gift box in case you’re wanting to give this to your local handyman (or spouse who wants to be more handy) for Christmas.

It’s cheap too; you can pick it up for $7.99 on HotRef and get it in time for the holidays.
