This gadget solves that issue: with both a digital read-out and a “voice” that tells you your tire pressure out loud: The Talking Tire Gauge.

The device is basically a key chain of sorts with an included LED light that shows the current tire pressure reading in the readout (meaning you can use it in low light conditions, such as on the side of a road at night, easily) while stating out loud the pressure so even if you can’t read it for some reason, you’ll still be informed if your tires needs some air. Good safety type gadget.

The Talking Tire Gauge will run you $14.99 a pop, which isn’t too bad.

Jabra has recently released a new Bluetooth speakerphone, the Cruiser, that blocks out outside noise to increase conversation clarity (noise being a common issue with Bluetooth style headsets).

The device is made to be mounted on the visor of a car and supports Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR and eSCO, so you can drive and talk at the same time, since many US states now have laws against driving with a phone to your ear, for very good reasons.

The Jabra Cruiser also features an FM transmitter allowing you to hook up a cell phone or MP3 player with music on it and listen to it with your Cruiser speaker.

This gadget provides 14-hours of talk time or up to 13-days of standby time, which is above average for this kind of device. If this sort of thing tickles your fancy, you can acquire the Jabra Cruiser for $159 each.

Well actually, it will quickly recharge your AA batteries using a car’s cigarette lighter adapter, which is nice for those always on the run in the car (digital cameras on vacation, etc).

There is even a LED light built into the charger itself to read maps or directions by and the socket pivots with almost a full range of motion so you can always find the best way to plug it in.

This one retails at $12.49, and comes with two rechargeable batteries, so that isn’t a bad deal.

The Padded Holder with Tilt Swivel is custom made with a neat and discreet design. It tilts 15 degrees in any direction for optimal viewing. Your iPhone 3G S easily slides in and out of the holder.

The Padded Holder with Tilt Swivel and Charging/USB Cable has a cable permanently attached to the base so when your device is slid into the holder it connects to the cable. Then the cable can either be plugged into your car’s 12V power outlet or any female USB connection. You can easily slide your iPhone in and out of the holder. The Holder angles 15 degrees for optimal viewing.

The Holder with Tilt Swivel and Pass-Through Connector will make docking and undocking, your iPhone 3G S, easier and more convenient. Attach your stereo cable, charging cable or any other iPhone compatible cable, to the bottom of the holder, to create a docking station. Your iPhone 3G S is conveniently on the dash within easy reach and slides in and out of the holder with one hand. The holder is custom made with a neat and discreet design and tilts 15 degrees, in any direction, for optimal viewing.

The Adjustable Holder with Tilt Swivel and Pass-Through Connector has all the benefits of the above Holder with Tilt Swivel and Pass-Through Connector plus it is designed to accommodate your encased iPhone 3G S. This Adjustable Holder will adjust from a width of 2.3? (60mm) to 3.2? (82mm).

The ProClip Vehicle Mount provides the mounting platform to attach any of the ProClip holders. The ProClip Vehicle Mount is the only vehicle specific, consumer installable mounting bracket in today’s global market. The mount clips into the dashboard seams, providing a very sturdy and tight fit. Average installation time is 2 minutes. No dismantling of the dashboard is required and there is no damage to the vehicle’s interior!

Everyone has had that dreaded moment: getting into the car, turning the key and realizing with a sinking “click” that the battery is dead. Out in the middle of nowhere, what do you do? Well, now with the SelfCharge Auto Jumper, there is something you can do for yourself, and device itself is small and easily storable.

The SelfCharge Auto Jumper hooks inside of your car through the cigarette lighter. After it’s hooked up 10 minutes (or so) later, your car should be up and running. The device is rechargeable and can be recharged 500 times, so its definitely economical and reusable.

It can even work to re-juice cellphones, laptops and other smaller gadgets too. This modern safety gadget will run you $44.95. If that’s a bit tall for your budget, there’s a version that plugs in through the cigarette lighter that requires a second car for $25.95 (though that sort of defeats the point a little).

This is one of the more unusual gadgets: the Steering Wheel Bluetooth Speakerphone.

More from the creators:

This is the Bluetooth speakerphone that attaches to your steering wheel, placing the microphone and speakers closer to you for easier conversations without taking your hands off the wheel. The device uses two 2-watt speakers coupled with noise reduction and echo cancellation technologies for clear transmission and reception. Inbound calls appear on the device’s 9/16? display as either numbers or names (depending upon how your cell phone is set up), allowing you to accept or reject calls with a press of a button. Volume, mute, and phone book buttons allow further control right from the steering wheel. The device can be paired with up to eight different cell phones and you can transfer up to 600 phone numbers to its 256MB memory. Its rechargeable battery provides five hours of continuous talk time from a three-hour charge using the included DC car adapter.

The $99.95 retail price isn’t terrible, but you won’t be able to use it outside the car, so that makes it not good if you’re in and out of your car a lot. Still a pretty interesting take on wireless car conversation, however.

Well, this new gadget may be just the ticket to have.

The ECCO GPS keychain aims to solve this age old problem:

Simply ‘lock’ in your starting location, go do your thing, then follow the ECCO’s idiot-proof LCD display. You’ll be tucked up before you can say ‘I’m sure I turned right at that big tree.’ Cooler still, the ECCO will store up to three locations, so you can find your way back to your remote guesthouse via the pub with a quick pit stop at that kebab shop you stumbled across the night before. Despite its diminutive dimensions, the ECCO utilises the very latest GPS technology. Satellite acquisition time is 30-60 seconds max, and it is accurate to within 10m.

Now that’s accurate, folks! Will it work in underground garages? Not a question that is answered, and one to wonder about. The ECCO will retail for £69.95.

More about this wondrous gadget here from the website:

ClearScan Live allows the iPhone to display the FM frequency and the controls on its screen. This hardware-software combination is the first to utilize an iPhone application to control FM transmission and utilize GPS coordinates to determine the clearest FM frequency at the user’s location. TuneCast Auto Live capitalizes on the ability of iPhone OS 3.0 to enable application control of hardware accessories, with ClearScan Live as the first application to interact with an iPhone FM transmitter accessory. Together, the Belkin hardware and software provide a powerful tool for people to easily control and listen to their music in their cars.

This device will debut in the US and around the world (including Europe and Asia) mid-Fall or so, and will sell for around $79.99 each.

Here’s the details from the site:

The Bluetooth Car Kit comprises a sleek black car speakerphone that mounts to your car’s windscreen via suction cups and ensures you stay safe and legal when driving, without ever missing an important phone call. The Bluetooth Car Kit comes with a variety of charging options, including USB and via your car’s cigarette lighter, but the most notable is the powerful built-in solar panel. Just two hours in daylight provides one hour of talk time, which is largely thanks to this environmentally-friendly car speakerphone using less energy than standard devices. With your phonebook transferred to your car speakerphone you can also make use of the handy Text-to-Speech feature which speaks the name/number of any incoming calls so there’s no need to take your eyes off the road. Save energy and talk for longer with the Bluetooth solar powered speakerphone!

This cool little eco-device will run you £44.95 – not bad when you also consider its charged by solar power, so no worries about batteries running out in the middle of driving or anything like that.
