Philips thinks so, and is offering a nice deal for those who think its too essential to leave behind. Ever. You can’t listen to records on this, but hey, technology marches on.

Philips latest portable digital TV for the mass market has been announced and released as the PVD900/37. The device has a big 9-inch 600 x 220 TFT widescreen LCD screen, a built-in HDTV tuner, decent 250mW speakers and a detachable antenna that is useful for over-air digital TV channels to be received.

It has a rechargeable battery that provides up to 3 hours of viewing time. You can grab this at Amazon for just $113.53, which is a bargain for the TV addicted.

This kit is designed for just such a purpose. Ever had to try and replace wipers in the rain/snow? Not a fun experience, and you may want to grab these up if you live in tough climates.

Well apparently there’s another way to put off replacing those blades, which is good news for the people who deal with things last minute and especially those that are, shall we say, frugal. It’s only $5, and it apparently sharpens wipers to almost like new again. It’s originally from Japan, and they work quite well, according to various sources on the web. Try them for yourself by visiting DealExtreme and grabbing your own kit.
