One Stop Modern Wallet: The Sharper Image Charging Valet

Hey, we’re all there (at least most of us): too many gadgets, all asking to be charged frequently, and no easy and convenient place to put them all. Now there is one: The Charging Valet from Sharper Image, a site that has seemingly sprung up from the dead.

You have room for three gadgets, and all you do is plug in the valet, and there’s three built in cords, ready to charge any type of device. It even comes with 5 typically used power tips dedicated to certain types of chargers: Apple, Micro USB, Mini USB, Samsung and LG. Nice touch.

It folds up and closes magnetically, and is easy to carry anywhere on the go; perfect for those road warriors with a lot of gadgets to carry and little room to store them all.

Spin Your World: Sharper Image Rotating Speaker System

The Sharper Image Rotating Speaker System is part of their comeback routine, and is looking mighty impressive so far. It’s a speaker system for the Apple iPod or iPhone that works as an iPod dock, speaker system and packs a little something extra too.

If you want to watch a movie on it, the Rotating Speaker System will turn the iPhone 90 degrees sideways so you can watch it properly in its aspect ratio. The company boasts full, rich sound and lighted controls, and it comes with inserts that allows it to fit any style of iPod or iPhone device, and works as a charging dock when turned off.

The Sharper Image Rotating Speaker System should be up for purchase on October 15, here for example,for $79.99, which isn’t a terrible price for something pretty slick and useful.

Slim (Not So) Shady: The Slim USB Mouse

Its slim, its modern, its slick, its the Slim USB Mouse. And it’s appearance and design will appeal to those who love the Apple aesthetic quite a bit.

This pairs quite well with a slim, modern netbook to create a very cohesive design layout. Gadget4All is offering the Super Slim USB Mouse, which is only 1cm thick (and that’s about the thinnest one we’ve seen yet).

The scroll wheel fits the thumb easily and is even designed for lefties and righties can use it proficiently, and works on Mac or Windows as well.

The Slim USB Mouse will retail for $17 each, which isn’t terribly bad.

We Love It: The Recession iPhone Case

Now this we had to laugh at, marvel at (and cover on GS of course): it’s inexpensive, and it (sorta) protects your Apple iPhone from harm. I almost thought it was a joke, but its an actual product you can buy: The iPhone Recession Case. And we’re tempted to buy one just to keep it as a party joke of some kind.

It’s created with 100% recycled cardboard, and its simple and fire-retardant and quite druable. No screen coverage, but hey, its a recession after all, what do you expect?

Take A Pill: The iPill iPod Microphone

This gadget adds a microphone to an existing Apple iPod (not usually a feature of the device) and has a rather unique look to it: the form of a pill capsule, for some strange reason. Maybe that’s the latest cool look; to appear as if you’re a drug user. Who knows these days?

The iPill is a microphone attachment that is compatible with the iPod nano 4G, iPod classic 120GB, and iPod touch 2G, pretty much the whole range of recent iPod devices.

The iPill is available in the US for $13 (£8) and is a great gift idea for anyone who is attached at the ear to their iPod.

Mover and Shaker: iLuv iMM153 Alarm Clock/iPod Dock

iLuv is famous for their cool docks and equipment, and this new release doesn’t change that trend at all. The iMM153 alarm clock/dock actually claims to be powerful enough to wake you up from your deepest sleep, as it includes a bed shaker, radio station and iPhone/iPod soundtracks you can can select as well.

The LCD display allows 10 different dimmer settings with a 3.5mm input jack lets you hook up to a variety of devices, not just Apple gadgets, which is good for flexibility’s sake.

If you have to go to bed with music, you can pick from an FM station or iPod/MP3 player audio content to float to dreamland with. It’s compatible with nearly all of the iPod line, and comes in pink, blue, white or black color choices.

This is a speaker for the young and the young at heart. It lights up with a mohawk of LED lights and will keep a kid occupied for hours with the music and cheerful monster character and lights.

The Rocky The Monster Speaker works along with any type of Apple iPod or MP3 player, and you can hook this up to a 3.5mm headphone jack too, so its flexible.

It can run on 4 AA batteries or you just can just plug it up to the wall. In a strange move, the batteries are included but the AC adapter isn’t. Someone thought that was a good idea apparently.
